August Rains Bring Cyprus Much-Needed Water
August rainfall over recent days has provided Cyprus with abundant water, with precipitation amounts in some areas reaching up to 22 times higher than normal for this season. In Makedonitissa in Nicosia, 62 millimetres of rain fell within one day, with the rain locally limited to specific areas.
