Authorities granted power to demolish dangerous buildings
Building inspection authorities (EÖA) are receiving expanded powers to demolish or seal off dangerous buildings or parts thereof if they are classified as a security risk. A bill from the parliamentary interior committee provides for bypassing bureaucratic procedures in order to inform building owners more quickly.
