Automakers Must Finance Vehicle Scrapping Under New EU Rules
The European Commission has implemented new regulations for the design, manufacturing, collection, and processing of vehicles at the end of their useful life, requiring manufacturers to finance their disposal and restricting the export of used cars outside the EU. Approximately 10 to 12 million vehicles reach the end of their useful life in Europe annually.
