Avakas Gorge remains closed due to dangerous conditions
The Forest Department has announced that the hiking trail through Avakas Gorge remains closed. Following an incident on March 25 where hikers were trapped, dangerous conditions persist in the national park due to weather conditions, increased water levels, slippery ground, and the risk of rockfall and landslides.
