Avakas Gorge Remains Closed Due to Safety Risks
The popular hiking trail through the Avakas Gorge in the Akamas National Forest remains closed indefinitely. The forestry authority cites recent weather conditions, increased water flow, slippery ground, and the risk of rock and landslides as reasons for the closure.
