Avalanche Disaster in North Caucasus Claims at Least 11 Lives
An avalanche on Mount Mizhirgi in Russia's Kabardino-Balkaria region killed at least 11 mountaineers and injured six others. The accident occurred at 17:00 local time (14:00 GMT) on Sunday. The mountain is one of the highest peaks in the North Caucasus.
