Banking sector and fintech firms moving toward hybrid model
Professor Costas Markides will be keynote speaker at the Forbes Next Gen Banking & Fintech Summit in Cyprus on October 13. He argues that fintech companies will not replace traditional banks, but that the greater long-term threat comes from technology giants such as Apple, Amazon, and Google. The industry is instead developing toward a hybrid model of coexistence.
