Bayeux Tapestry returns to Britain after nearly 1,000 years
The famous Bayeux Tapestry has arrived in Britain for the first time in nearly a thousand years, where it will be on display in a sold-out exhibition at the British Museum. The 70-meter-long artwork, which depicts the 1066 conquest of England, was transported from France under police protection in a climate-controlled, shock-absorbing case.
