Belisarius: The General Who Led Byzantium to Greatness
Belisarius was an underestimated military commander of the Byzantine Empire who, under Emperor Justinian I, reconquered vast territories of the former Western Roman Empire from North Africa to the Italian Peninsula. Despite early defeats on the Persian front, he is regarded as the architect of the Byzantine Empire's greatest territorial expansion.
