Benefit Recipients Spend Payments at Casinos and Betting Shops
Parliamentarians are informed that some recipients of the Cypriot minimum income guarantee (EEE) are spending their monthly payments at casinos and betting shops. This leads to problems for the affected individuals, their families, and society as a whole, as funds are directed to gambling immediately upon receipt.
