Bill against foreign election campaign advertising passed
Direct Democracy Party member Yiannis Laouris submitted a bill that would prohibit posters and advertising materials for foreign election campaigns. The proposal targets the controversy over Israeli election campaign posters for candidates such as Gadi Eisenkot that were visible on Cypriot roadsides. The draft will be forwarded to the parliamentary interior committee, which will decide on further proceedings.
