Bird Flu H5N1 Fourth Time This Decade in Cyprus
The current discovery of bird flu cases in Athalassa Park has raised concerns again, but statistically this is not a new phenomenon for Cyprus. The H5N1 virus strain had previously been detected on the island in 2017, 2022, and 2024.
