Breakthrough in Thalassemia Treatment via GHS in Cyprus
Cypriot thalassemia patients will soon receive the drug Reblozyl through the Cypriot health system (GHS). Cyprus has the highest per capita rate of this blood disorder in the world, with approximately 1 in 7 Cypriots as carriers. With over 1,300 people living with the disease in Cyprus, this breakthrough in drug provision represents significant progress.
