Britain: Andy Burnham becomes Prime Minister without new elections
Following the resignation of Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Andy Burnham assumes the office of British Prime Minister. Burnham was formally appointed as Labour Party chairman on July 17 and now assumes government responsibility without new elections.
