Britain decouples electricity and gas prices
Britain announced plans to weaken the link between electricity prices and volatile gas prices. The country plans to require older wind and solar generators to commit to fixed contracts in order to lower electricity bills for consumers. Britain has some of the highest electricity prices worldwide.
