British diving team discovers US Coast Guard cutter from WWI
A British diving team has confirmed the location of a World War I shipwreck - the US Coast Guard Cutter Tampa lies approximately 50 miles off the coast of Newquay, Cornwall, over 300 meters deep in the Atlantic. The wreck had been lost for over a century before the volunteer technical diving group Gasperados confirmed its exact location.
