Cabinet approves reform of child allowance payments from 2027
The Cypriot government has approved a reform of child allowance payments to take effect from January 1, 2027. The reform provides for a 10% increase in child allowance payments and an expansion of income thresholds, and is expected to benefit approximately 17,000 families with 23,500 children. The reform package, worth 12.5 million euros, still requires parliamentary approval.
