Cabinet Reshuffle Strengthens Party Influence of DIKO and DISY
President Nikos Christodoulides announced a cabinet reshuffle in which three new ministers were appointed and the government takes on a stronger party-political and Christian Democratic character. In contrast to technocrats, the President is thus relying on political appointments for the remaining years of his term and appears to be aiming for support for the 2028 presidential election.
