Cameroonian asylum claim rejected with fabricated abduction story
A 35-year-old asylum seeker from Cameroon attempted to obtain political asylum with a fabricated story of abductions, imprisonment, ransom extortion, and threats. He also incorporated the Ambazonians, a separatist movement seeking independence, into his story. The Cypriot court rejected his asylum claim after seeing through the fabricated narrative.
