Cancer overtakes cardiovascular disease as leading cause of death
Cancer has become the leading cause of death in the Republic of Cyprus for the first time in 30 years, surpassing cardiovascular disease. This was presented at the 12th Pan-Cypriot Conference on Public Health by the Cyprus International Institute for Environmental and Public Health (CII). The shift marks a significant change in the country's health profile.
