Cash Acceptance in the Eurozone Growing Again
After a decline during and after the pandemic, cash acceptance among businesses in the eurozone is showing renewed growth. According to a recent study by the European Central Bank (ECB), 92 percent of businesses with physical points of sale will accept cash in 2026, compared to 90 percent in 2024. At the same time, mobile phone payments have nearly doubled.
