Catastrophic flood disaster in Nepal: over 1,000 deaths
In Nepal, devastating floods and landslides have resulted in over 1,000 deaths, with thousands of people missing. Rescue forces erected provisional bridges and were able to free approximately 300 workers from hydroelectric plants in the Himalayan regions, where they had been trapped for nearly a week.
