China Introduces 20% Tax on Dividends for Foreigners
China has introduced a 20 percent tax on dividends and additional income received by foreigners from companies with foreign interests in the Chinese market. The measure took effect on Tuesday and was announced by China's Ministry of Finance and State Tax Administration. This ends a tax exemption that had been in place since 1994.
