Christodoulides calls for restraint and stronger EU role in Middle East
President Nikos Christodoulides called for restraint and diplomacy during an informal EU summit in Nicosia in light of escalating tensions in the Middle East. He warned that instability in the region has direct effects on European security and economy and how quickly such crises can spread across borders.
