Christodoulides Demands Clear EU Solidarity Mechanisms
President Nikos Christodoulides stressed on Monday the need for a clear mechanism for EU response in the event of invocation of Article 42.7 of the EU Treaty (mutual defense clause). Following Cyprus's engagement with EU partners, several member states, including Greece, France, Italy, and Spain, have already signaled positive support.
