Christofias vs. Dimitriou: Dispute Over Renouncing State Service Cars
A sharp dispute arose between AKEL MP Christos Christofias and DYSY chairwoman Annita Dimitriou over the question of who first renounced the lifelong privilege of a state service car. Dimitriou claimed to be the first official to renounce this privilege. Christofias reacted indignantly and indicated that his father Dimitris Christofias had already taken this step.
