Colombia: Cocaine exports exceed oil exports in value
Illegal cocaine exports surpassed Colombia's crude oil exports in value for the first time in 2024, making it the country's largest single export activity. According to a study by EAFIT University, cocaine smuggling revenues reached approximately 16.5 billion dollars, while oil revenues amounted to approximately 15 billion dollars.
