A consumer protection authority has determined that shoppers can save up to 66.91 euros per shopping trip, or approximately 36 percent, by choosing cheaper alternatives in the same product category. Extrapolated to a monthly basis, households could save substantial amounts by making more conscious choices between different brands and products in the same supermarkets.
