Corfu Celebrates Holy Saturday with Clay Pot Tradition "Botides"
Thousands of residents and tourists gathered on the esplanade of the Greek island of Corfu on Orthodox Holy Saturday to witness the spectacular tradition of "Botides." Corfiots throw large clay pots filled with red ribbons from their windows decorated with red flowers and insignia, symbolically celebrating the Resurrection of Christ.
