Corruption Study: One in Three Pays Bribes in the North
A new corruption study shows a marked deterioration of administrative standards in Northern Cyprus: 70 percent of respondents describe corruption as a "very serious problem", while one third of business owners stated they had to pay bribes in the past year to obtain services. The study was conducted by academics Omer Gokcekus and Sertac Sonan.
