Court Confirms EU Veto Against Booking's ETraveli Takeover
The European Court of Justice upheld the EU decision that blocked Booking Holdings' €1.63 billion takeover of travel platform ETraveli. The EU Commission had ruled in 2023 that the merger would give Booking a dominant travel ecosystem that would impair competition. The ruling of Europe's second-highest court strengthens the EU's competition enforcement.
