Court ends obligation to notify property buyers of encumbrances
A court decision abolishes the previous practice of informing property buyers about real property encumbrances when filing sales deeds. Attorney General Giorgos Savvides subsequently clarified that the cadastral department is not legally obligated to inform buyers.
