Court rejects release of rape suspect pending trial
The Court of Appeal rejected the release of a man accused of rape. The court found that the statements of the complainant indicate a probability of conviction and that the defendant's connections to non-Republic controlled areas constitute a significant flight risk. The case is being heard before the Supreme Criminal Court of Famagusta.
