Court Upholds Rape Conviction Despite Lack of DNA Evidence
The appeals court rejected on July 16 the appeal of a man convicted of rape, unlawful deprivation of liberty for sexual purposes, joint assault, and threats of violence. The court ruled that the absence of genetic material or physical injuries does not automatically exclude the crime, and upheld the first-instance conviction.
