Crossings of the Green Line on the Rise
Police statistics show that crossings through checkpoints increased in the first half of 2026. Of the total 1,733,326 registered crossings, 920,679 were by Greek Cypriots and 812,647 by Turkish Cypriots, with Greek Cypriot crossings increasing and Turkish Cypriot crossings decreasing.
