Customs authorities seize 35,000 untaxed cigarettes at Paphos Airport
Customs officers at Paphos Airport detected a British passenger with large quantities of untaxed tobacco on 1 October. A total of 175 packs of 200 cigarettes each were found in his luggage, which lacked proper tax markings. The passenger was traveling to Manchester, and significant penalties are being initiated against him by customs authorities.
