Customs authorities seize hides and cigarettes
The Cypriot customs authority inspected a vehicle belonging to a Turkish Cypriot on April 22, 2026 at the Agios Dometios checkpoint and found 75 kilograms of hides in five bags. The driver was arrested for customs violations, and the vehicle and goods were confiscated. Additionally, a woman was stopped with hundreds of cartons of cigarettes.
