Cyber Fraud with Fake Health System SMS - 48,000 Euros Stolen
Police are investigating a new fraud case in which criminals send SMS messages appearing to be from the health system (GESÜ) to drain bank accounts. A 60-year-old was defrauded on April 28 and lost 48,000 euros after receiving a fraudulent SMS. The investigation is ongoing in Paphos.
