Cypriot Attorney General Aimilios Steps Down for EU Position
Nikolaus Aimilios, Attorney General at the Court of Justice of the European Union, submitted his resignation to take up his new position as judge at the European Court of Human Rights starting April 27, 2026. The resignation was submitted to the President of the EU Court of Justice, Koen Lenaerts. This enables Aimilios a seamless transition to his new judicial role.
