Cypriot court blocks accounts of former Angolan President
The Supreme Court of Cyprus rejected an application by five FBME Bank account holders aimed at overturning freezing orders on accounts connected to former Angolan President José Eduardo dos Santos and his daughter. The case involves accounts with assets worth millions that the Financial Intelligence Unit (MOKAS) uncovered. The FBME bank branch was closed in 2014 and has been in liquidation since.
