Cypriot Doctors Blocked by Brexit: UK Qualifications Not Recognized
Two Cypriot doctors trained in the United Kingdom report that they are stuck in the UK due to Brexit, as their British general practitioner qualification is not recognized in Cyprus and therefore they cannot work as private doctors under the NHS system. A parliamentary proposal to resolve this issue was already rejected earlier this year, and the Cypriot Medical Association has expressed concerns.
