Cypriot earthquake zone map being revised
A revision of Cyprus's seismic zones has been underway for a year, according to seismologist Sylvana Pilidou. The update was brought into the spotlight by devastating earthquakes in Colombia (7.4 Richter) and Venezuela (7.2 and 7.5 Richter), with Cyprus now constructing according to stricter building codes.
