Cypriot Education Minister Presents New Teacher Appointment Plan
Education Minister Athena Michaelidou presented union leaders with a revised government plan to reform the teacher recruitment system. She acknowledged that she does not expect full union approval, following months of negotiations on the matter. The plan is intended to regulate the procedure for teacher appointment and transfer anew.
