Cypriot fuel prices rose 18.6% – among highest EU increases
Cyprus recorded one of the steepest annual increases in fuel and lubricant costs in the EU in June 2026 with a rise of 18.6% compared to the previous year, according to Eurostat data. EU-wide increases ranged from 2.3% in Hungary to 26% in Bulgaria, with Cyprus clearly among the higher increases.
