Cypriot Lawyers Warn of Transnational Repression in Hranovskyi Case
The Cyprus Democratic Lawyers Association stated that a Ukrainian court has discontinued criminal proceedings against former Ukrainian parliamentarian Oleksandr Hranovskyi over alleged embezzlement of 1.6 million pounds. The court determined that the statute of limitations had expired, and the CDLA warned of the dangers of transnational repression in such cases.
