Cypriot potato farmers suffer from Middle East conflict and export delays
Cyprus's potato producers are struggling with the effects of the Middle East conflict, which is leading to higher costs and export delays. Andreas Karyos, spokesperson for potato growers, explained that supermarkets in Germany, Austria, Belgium and the UK have strict delivery schedules for Cypriot potatoes. The delays are therefore particularly damaging to the industry.
