Cypriot public sector employees exceed 78,000
Employment in Cyprus's broader public sector reached 78,433 persons in the second quarter of 2026, with an increase of 1,119 employees (1.4% year-on-year growth). Of these, 73,284 worked in general administration and 5,149 in state enterprises.
