Cypriot public service grows: 53,747 employees in July
The number of employees in Cyprus' public sector increased by 300 people in July 2026 to a total of 53,747 employees, an increase of 0.6 percent compared to July 2025 (53,447 employees). Growth was driven by increases in the education sector and security forces, while the administrative service continued to shrink.
