Cypriot Representative Clarifies Case of Gaza Woman
A 24-year-old woman who sought Cyprus's help to flee Gaza is not a Cypriot citizen, despite having Cypriot ancestry through her great-grandmother, according to Marios Stavrou, head of the Cypriot representative office in Ramallah. Stavrou explained that the woman's great-grandmother was born in Cyprus, but this is insufficient for citizenship.
