Cypriot Right to Paid Annual Leave Constitutionally Protected
Paid annual leave is a constitutionally protected right in Cyprus for all employees in both public and private sectors, including trainees. Under the Paid Annual Leave Law of 1967, employees are entitled to four paid weeks of leave per calendar year after 48 weeks of employment.
